Designed for a young man who loved the outdoors. The bas-relief hand carving on the stone was done by James Peterson. It was taken from a certain camouflage pattern that he always wore. There is a verse written by Joe’s mother that goes around three sides of the base. The rough cut finish look on both the base and tablet is symbolic of this young life not yet complete.
