The challenge for the designer was to capture this young girl’s bright personality, talents and future promise.  The shape of the is from one the parents saw in the showroom.  They came with the idea of using a star motif all over the memorial’s surface since this was their daughter’s favorite shape.  She had decorated her bedroom with countless stars.  The finished memorial features a cameo portrait of Ellen placed in a stippled finish shooting star, the trails of which wrap around to the back of the tablet.
