Both Mr. and Mrs. Powell are police officers. Benjamin's badge and his Masonic Blue Lodge emblem have been mounted on the memorial. Since both come from large and extended families the Tree of Life was selected to represent the importance of family in both their lives. To compliment the the bronze medallion, bronze lettering was selected.
