Single or Companion Markers
A marker differs from a monument in that it is normally a one-piece memorial, and smaller in size than an upright monument. It may be made as a lawn-level marker, a pillow or bevel marker, a slant-faced marker, or a bench style marker. However, its size should not limit its personalization. The skills of the AICA designer will assure a well-designed tribute no matter what style of marker may be required."

EDNA MARIE SHIMP McCLURKAN
This more contemporary style ledger, with its free-form shape features a simple sunflower carving, gives the memorial a “back to nature” feeling.

ESPINOZA
Efren's special perspective of life was carefully and delicately captured in his own thought provoking style. Sandblast carving reproduced his drawing in exact detail and color. Quiring's artist replicated his handwriting to record the dates of his birth and death.

LARKIN ELIZABETH BROOKS
Mr. and Mrs. Brooks wanted a special memorial for their daughter. They liked “engaged” lettering but also wanted lots of polished stone. A family friend did a quick pencil sketch of a hummingbird and flowers and the memorial designer re-drew and adapted the sketch for stone and carried the “engaged” theme through the design.

Cliff Larrance
An eagle, fir trees and Mr. Larrance’s amphibian airplane were done in a tri-tone sandblast process while the portrait was done by hand etching with carbide needles. These graphics are complemented by his favorite words of wisdom. A special border, which is interrupted by the eagle and the airplane, add a 3 dimensional perspective to the memorial.

CHRISTOPHER JOHN WILLIAM BANACH
Christopher was an avid sport bike rider. He and his father spent their spare time working on and riding motorcycles. Christopher’s joy was riding and his family wanted to remember his passion on his memorial.

SCOTCH, Carmine & Bennie
The son of Carmine and Bennie was a capable graphic artist and wanted to try designing his parent’s memorial. We provided the technical expertise, while he provided the theme and layout and in the end, the collaboration resulted in a beautiful memorial personalized by the Scotch’s children.

CHRISTOPHER COLTE BLU RUNGE
This fresh and youthful styled marker with its unusual shape suggests a free spirited personality. The engraved bronze shows Chris with his faithful dog. As a personal touch, Chris’ signature was added in the design.
